5-inch (125mm) Sanding Disc Organizer for Pegboard
Print Profile(2)

Description
Description:
If you are a woodworking enthusiast and have tons of sandpaper with different grits, this 5-inch (125mm) sanding disc organizer will help solve your storage needs. This sturdy and durable pegboard holder uses adjustable dividers to create up to 11 compartments to organize different grits of orbital sanding discs. By customizing and using adjustable dividers, the organizer optimizes storage space based on your particular needs, usage and inventory.
This sanding disc organizer is designed for pegboards with 1-inch (25.4 mm) hole spacing commonly sold in US hardware stores. Designed around Sy's Peglock System, both the pegboard holder and pegboard clips can be printed flat and without supports. This eliminates the weak pegs that are prone to breaking in other pegboard models because the print orientation is not optimal for the strength of the hooks, which are much stronger when the plane of the hook is parallel to the print bed. (Need this design for 6-inch sanding discs? That model can be found here).
The build plate includes two pegs for the typical 0.25-inch (6.35 mm) thick "Home Depot" pegboard with 0.25-inch holes. While pegboards in the US have a standard 1" hole spacing, the actual boards can be a range of thicknesses and hole sizes. So sizing hooks to fit the thickest boards, results in a loose-fitting hook on the thinner boards. You can generate different sized pegs from this Onshape project.
Printing:
I recommend printing in PETG with the 0.20mm standard settings. The print profile includes a blank tabbed divider that can be cloned and customized for as many dividers as you need. (I created a separate print profile with each customized divider I created for my personal use if you don't want to customize your own).
Customizing Text:
You can color, change or customize the text label on the tabbed dividers using the text tool in Bambu Slicer. (I used Arial font, size 12, 0.5 thickness).
Assembly:
To mount, fold each "peglock pegboard clip" with the flat printed sides together. Insert it into the pegboard so the triangular surfaces point up spaced to match the slots on the rack, then slide the sanding disc organizer down over top. It should securely fit into place compressing the organizer against the board and preventing accidental movement.
