Description

Do not print in PLA! This Must be printed on a well-calibrated printer with PETG or better. I tested both PETG and PAHT-CF.

Please use the support orientation in the 3mf (pictured). I tested many prototypes for strength and outer finish and this was by far the best orientation with supports.

Hello First thank you for designing this ! Tried printing it today for my new cardo freecom. Encoutered a problem of resistance and the part circled in red on the print broke. I wonder if you could add the little things circled in red on the original to the print? I think it adds a lot of strenght to the part because all the forces are diluted on these 2 additionnals "fixations" on the original. Thank you for your time

Understood. What material did you print with? I initially did have those 2 hooks in the file but since they were so small and needed supports the print resolution made them too brittle and practically useless in my PETG tests. I'll consider testing adding them back but it may only work well with stronger materials like nylon or ABS

i used Sunlu's black PETG, it seems the vertical "hooks" are a super tight fit so I imagined that these two additionnal hooks could help them stay in place and add stability. I am no CAD master so I don't know how much it makes the thing more complex but just thought it could be great if feasable. Would love to see an updated version with it but still thx for the already awesome thing you designed !!!

Thanks for your model! I have modified it to fit my older packtalk (and also fixed the Shoei part internal geometry with help from my 3d artist friend) - published here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7018224

Looks great! Care to share the print profile here as well or do you care if I upload your model as a print profile on this page to help out fellow GT-AIR 3 owners find these? I've had a couple people on reddit ask me for a packtalk version. If you can leave a review or boost here it also helps spread the model visibility.

Hello, I would like to design a more optimized and robust version of your 3D model. Would it be possible to obtain the file in STEP or SolidWorks format so that I can modify it? Thank you in advance!
