The base of the coaster is 4mm thick with gyroid infill and then the pattern starts to print for another 2mm giving a final height of 6mm with pockets for moisture to accumulate from sweating glasses or dripping mugs. This is why the print time is so long for the coasters. The pattern is not just a surface layer print, but a functional drink coaster.
