Description
When printing PLA, PETG or TPU inside an enclosure, odors and fine particles can quickly build up in the chamber. This air guard filter housing helps circulate the air, stabilize the chamber temperature and filter particles before they spread inside the printer or into the room 🌬️
This model is based on the following original design:
https://makerworld.com/de/models/890473
This model is a remix designed specifically for printer enclosures or DIY printer cabinets. The main goal was to make mounting much more flexible while keeping the great magnetic assembly of the original design 🔧
The most important change is the redesigned lid. Unlike the original version, it no longer has a surrounding overhang. This allows the unit to be mounted directly to a flat wall, side panel, or the back of a printer enclosure without needing extra clearance 🧱
I also replaced the ventilation openings with my diagonal grille pattern, which gives the model a cleaner and more distinctive look while maintaining good airflow ✨
The activated carbon compartment was also updated with the same diagonal pattern for visual consistency.
The magnetic connection system works great, so that part of the design remains unchanged 🧲
On the photos you can see my print made with Bambu PETG HF, but PLA works perfectly as well.
This remix makes the filter especially useful for people who:
• built their own DIY printer enclosure
• want to mount the filter on a flat wall
• prefer installing the unit in the center of the enclosure

The length of the screws depends on fan + wall thickness + 4 mm for the insert
I personally like using a USB Fan, because it can easily be switched together with the printer using a smart plug💡
