Description
Housing for an Aqara window sensor to query a window handle.

For Conversion:
Open the sensor housing and desolder the reed switch. Caution, the glass body of the reed switch is very sensitive. If the glass body breaks, replace the reed switch with a plastic reed switch 2.5X 14 mm (https://amzn.eu/d/66EIb08). Position the reed switch outwards, as shown in the photo. A hole must be drilled in the sensor base and the circuit board holder. Do not make the extension cables too short, otherwise changing the battery will be difficult. I secured the reed switch and cables with some hot glue. Then insert the magnet into the magnet holder. The position must be adjusted on a case-by-case basis. In my case, the recess above the corner often works.
