Cap holder for Elitech RC 5

In Elitech RC5 dataloggers the cap tab often breaks off, this makes the datalogger much less resistant to water or moisture.
Since recreating the cap with the same tab so fine would always expose it to new breakage then I thought I would keep the original cap and hold it in place some other way. If the cap is in the position it needs to be it will properly flush the o-ring embedded in the cap, keeping the datalogger safe from water and moisture.

This “shirt” allows the original cap to be reused, does not create an impediment to the use of the DL, and is easy to use, just slip it into the DL from the end closest to the cap.
