Description

Cheap f/3.95 450mm focal length, 114mm aperture newtonian astrograph telescope.

Still a work in progress but based on d114f450 mirrors widely available on ebay & aliexpress.

Primary mirror: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804066457264.html

Secondary mirror: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256802158738779.html

The secondary I'm using is a 45mm secondary, it's working better than the 30mm secondary did.

Focuser (cheap): https://www.aliexpress.us/item/2255800070171786.html
Focuser (expensive): https://www.omegon.eu/focusers/omegon-focuser-newton-hybrid-crayford-dual-speed-2-/p,32972

Carbon Tubes: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805082217221.html

Carbon tubes are 13x11 and were cut to size after figuring out what length I needed from assembling.

Documentation is still a WIP. I plan on reprinting the entire thing in a filament that isn't PLA - will hopefully record a video on putting it together at that point.

Uses some M6 hardware, lots of M4 hardware, M6 heatsets for the dovetail and guider, M4 heatsets for the focuser. I'm currently running the Omegon dual speed hybrid crayford focuser instead of the GSO 2" dual speed, but the GSO one does work.

A couple of pauses for embedded nuts, they should all be marked in the print profile file but here they are:

1. Bottom ota, the locking bolts for collimation require embedded nuts

2. Primary collimation knobs
3. Spider
