Description

Gridfinity bins for M2-M5 hardware. Intended to store one of those M2-M5 hardware kits with an assortment of screw lengths, lack and flat washers, and nuts.

Each bin is labeled and sized appropriately for the contents of a hardware kit. Multicolor is handled by layer height, not individual part painting.

Let me know if you need any other specific bins. :)

Stackable, no magnets.

Thanks for making this, they look awesome! The second color on top really helps the label stand out. My wife knows I’m printing stuff out and still thought I bought these. Would you please consider adding bins for M2.5? Also M2x8, M2x16, M2x20, M3x20, and M5x8?

Good grief. I just checked and apparently this set has all the different lengths. 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20 I think each could probably be a half bin.

Okay, I'll look to add those to the model this evening, it's no problem. I'll let you know when they are added

It as very easy to update the text to match what I needed. Color by layer height worked as hoped giving a nice color coded set of bins. Only suggestion is to add a 2x1 option to hold the larger bolts. I ended up combining bins from : https://makerworld.com/en/models/946272-complete-metric-bolts-m3-4-5-6-labeled-gridfinity#profileId-913133 to make both sizes. I like this style, but didn't have the 2x1

Here’s my collection of printed bins thus far NOTE: Placed on top of my AMS RIser v2 with Gridfinity attachment as I wanted to test vibrations and what better bins to use than ones filled with lots of metal nuts, bolts, and screws ;) Honestly I as surprised they didn’t make noise even with ludicrous speed vibration tests

Can someone help me understand how to get the two tone look as shown in the images? If I sync the colors and select my two colors it ends up with every thing being one color. I can set the labels as one color and the bin as another but then I end up without the layer of color at the top which I'd prefer and would make printing easier (as color would be layer based instead of label/bin)

Do you see the colors when doing the sicing preview? The coloring done on the slicing preview by the layer height. you shouldn't be coloring text or anything in the model window. Perhaps when changing slicing settings it got wiped? If so, on the slicing preview you can rightclick on the layer bar on the right and then select switch filament to whatever color you want.

I see. I was trying to change to get the colors to change in "prepare" and messed something up. If I just sync my colors then go to slice it works perfectly. Thanks!

No worries! It's a little annoying but it's the cleanest way to get a proper single color change switch. Sometimes using the paint tool makes it switch colors more than once.

These are a great print, can you add a double bin to accommodate the longer screw lengths? I like the design and want to keep it the same as the others.

Yeah that's no problem. Which sizes do you want doubled?
