Description
Print profiles for both orignial drip tray and the slim version.
I got tired of spilling water all over the floor, so I made this floating level indicator for the Gaggia Classic Pro drip tray.
It helps prevent accidental overflows by showing when it’s time to empty the tray—as the water level rises, the floater moves up for easy visibility.
Design & Assembly
This is a three-part design:
- Case – Holds everything in place.
- Floating Indicator – Moves up as the tray fills.
- Lid – Snaps in place and holds the magnet.
The lid has a slot for a 10mm x 2mm magnet, which lets it attach to the underside of the drip tray lid for easy removal when cleaning. The fit is snug, so no glue is needed—but you can use a drop if you want extra security.
Fit & Compatibility
- Fits in both large and small slots of the Gaggia Classic Pro drip tray.
- Height: 38mm – might work for other espresso machines too.
Printing Details
- AMS print with one plate – Be sure to use Print by Object to minimize filament changes.
- If you don’t have AMS, you can split it into two plates and print in single colors.
