Description
I wanted a cool futuristic pen and tool holder and remixed this https://makerworld.com/en/models/685572?from=search model.
I didn't have any translucent filament so I just used white for the first few layers and black for the top.
I also scaled it down a little bit as well as simplifying the model and only using the 4 side walls, 1 top, 1 bottom, and tube parts.
Dimensions of assembled cube are 82.55 x 82.55 x 82.55
Also separated parts onto efficient printing groupings for black and white color changes without needing a prime tower.
No supports needed.
Ordered a small remote control RGB LED light strip from Amazon to wrap around the white tube core so I can change the glow color on demand.
Assembly instructions-
The easiest way to line everything up is by setting your base down and then matching up the slots of the walls to the base.
*Note- One wall piece has a very small notch out of the bottom to allow your to run the LED power cord out, make sure this is where you want your cord to exit the cube.
After the pieces are lined up I used hot glue to attach the tube to the top plate then inserted the tube into the base so I now had a base and supported top. The pieces seemed to fit together tight enough i didn't glue all of inside seams but i did do most of them. I left one panel unglued so I can open the cube to work on LED if necessary.
