Description

Heater and LED Control Panel for Saturn 4 and Saturn 4 Ultra

This heater and LED control panel is designed for use with the Saturn 4 and Saturn 4 Ultra 3D printers. It provides a simple and efficient way to heat the printer’s chamber and control LED lighting, ensuring optimal conditions for SLA printing. Below, you’ll find details about the components, setup, and recommended wiring.

Key Features:

  • PTC Heater: A reliable heating element to maintain stable chamber temperatures.
  • W3230 Mini Digital Temperature Controller: Enables precise temperature control with an easy-to-read display.
  • LED Strip Control: Includes a dedicated switch for a 12V LED strip, adding convenient lighting inside the chamber.
  • Two Switches: One switch powers the thermostat, while the other independently controls the LED strip.
  • Compact Design: Streamlined to fit seamlessly into your setup.

Required Components:

  1. PTC Heater
  2. W3230 Mini Digital Temperature Controller
  3. Two Switches
  4. 12V 150W Power Supply Unit (PSU)
  5. 12V LED Strip
  6. Brass Inserts M3 (OD 4.5mm lenght 4mm) - 6 pc

Recommended Power Supply:

We suggest using a 12V, 150W PSU to ensure reliable performance for both the heater and the LED strip.

Basic Wiring Instructions:

The wiring is straightforward and can be customized to suit individual preferences. Here’s a basic overview:

  1. Switch 1: Connects to the power supply and powers the W3230 thermostat. This allows you to control the heater via the thermostat settings.
  2. Switch 2: Connects directly to the LED strip, providing a simple on/off function for lighting.
  3. Thermostat Wiring: Refer to the manufacturer’s instructions for connecting the W3230 temperature controller to the heater and power supply.

Installation Notes:

  • The PTC heater should be positioned to distribute heat evenly throughout the chamber.
  • Ensure all wiring is securely connected and insulated to prevent short circuits.
  • Mount the LED strip in a location that provides adequate illumination without obstructing other components.

Additional Considerations:

  • The wiring diagram will be uploaded soon for visual reference.
  • Always double-check connections and follow safety guidelines when working with electrical components.

This heater and LED control panel is a practical upgrade for your Saturn 4 or Saturn 4 Ultra printer, helping you achieve consistent print quality with improved environmental control. Whether you’re printing intricate models or larger batches, this system ensures optimal working conditions for your SLA printer.

does this need printing in PETG or higher heat resist material? or is PLA ok? any suggestion for LED strip?

Hi, I used a led strip that I have left at home just some weaker with a couple of diodes to not melt so much. I preferred printing from ABS+. I would also recommend ABS or ASA. PETG should also be durable enough since the heater stays in the original plastic from the factory.

I don't see any screws or bolts listed in the required parts list. What screws do you need?

Hi, since it says M3 inserts so you will need M3 bolts.
