This 3D model features a MT1, MT2 and MT3 mandrel for alignment in lathe threading operations. The threading die holder is for standard hexagonal dies.
A threaded insert and holding screw provide reliable retention of the die, preventing unwanted movement or slippage during threading operations.
Knurling has been added to the holder's surface to improve grip and user control
The design balances durability with ergonomic convenience, making it ideal for applications requiring precision and repeatability.

Hardware used
1xM4 insert press fit from the inside. (Can used pliers or a screw to pull insert into place)
1xM4x8 screw

Got a request to make a metal lathe round threading die holder.
If you already printed the original hexagon ver, you only need to print the round holder.
The MT2 mandrel is the same for both
Update have also added a Mores taper 1 mandrel profile for smaller lathes
Update have also added a Mores taper 3 mandrel profile for larger lathes
