The Level 5 Sierpiński Icosahedron features five full levels of recursion, with each triangular facet subdivided into self-similar icosahedra. This intricate design maintains the iconic icosahedron structure while offering even more detail and complexity. It includes an attached base for stability and ease of display and prints cleanly without the need for supports.

This model is perfect for geometry enthusiasts, educators exploring fractals, or anyone looking for a truly awe-inspiring and conversation-worthy display piece.

Update: By popular request, I've uploaded the model without the base. You can now download it as an STL or 3MF file. Please note, I haven’t had a chance to test this version yet, but it should print without any issues. Enjoy! 🥳

FDM Print Settings:

• Layer Height: 0.16mm (recommended).
• Infill: Gyroid, 10%.
• Supports: Not required, thanks to the attached base.
• Brim: Use an outer brim for optimal bed adhesion.
• Bottom Surface Pattern: Apply a Hilbert Curve for a visually appealing and intricate finish.

Filament Recommendation: 

Coextrusion filaments (e.g., color-shifting or dual-filament) enhance the intricate details beautifully.

A 3MF file for Bambu Lab P1S (0.4 Nozzle) is included for your convenience.
