Description

So I recently acquired a Thermaltake Tower 900 and my plan was to create a data/plex server with it, but there's a problem. It only came with two hard drive cages and 4 slides and I wanted to put a lot more hard drives in it and sadly they do not sell extras:(

So I figured I'd try to make some and after some failed attempts I finally got a working model now my case is ready for all the hard drives:)

I printed mine out of PLA it probably be better with a stronger material like petg

For the lever mechanism to release the drive slide from the cage, I added a little hole that you can add a 4mm spring that pushes the lever out it's not necessary, but it's very satisfying

The mounting screws I used came with the case I will probably find some nuts and bolts for a permanent solution

Recently, I added in some TPU gaskets to the hard drive sleds where the screws are inserted. It cuts down on vibration a little bit.

I'm currently working on a hot-swappable add-on to this model that will use the current cage model it will be a glue on addition… i will add a v2.0 in the future that will include that the V2 will also have less need for supports

speaking of supports I've been using the tree supports for these models, and they work great cleans up really quick. The hole, where the knob and lever get inserted is a little tricky to clean out. I found that a small flathead screwdriver works wonders the same screwdriver also helps to insert the spring

I hope you guys enjoy. Feel free to modify the cage to fit your PC mounting. post pictures of it in your rig can't wait to see what color combinations you come up with:)
