Description

This is a spool weight specifically designed for Sunlu filament spools with an internal diameter of 73 mm and a thickness of 60 mm.
It acts as a stabilizer and counterweight to reduce spool wobble during 3D printing, ensuring smoother filament feed and better print quality.

To be effective, the spool weight must be filled. In this version, I used steel needles to reach a total weight of 550 grams, offering excellent balance and stability.

I'm also testing a version filled with steel or stainless steel rolling balls. To minimize noise from these moving parts, a simple sheet of paper towel can be added inside before sealing the lid. For those who prefer a permanent solution, the filling can be secured using mastic, silicone, or epoxy glue.

This model is optimized for the original Sunlu spool dimensions (73 mm inner diameter, 60 mm thick).
I’m currently working on an updated version to fit the new Sunlu spool format (62 mm diameter, 57 mm thick). Once it's ready, I’ll add the link here.
