Description

A Fan for a DC Hobby Motor with a 2mm or 1.5mm shaft diameter.

You can also customise the shaft diameter but always keep in mind your printers tolerance!

 

Keep in mind: If one side doesn't fit, the other should (First layer adhesion and seam position with overhang affects size of shaft on one side)

Great model! It produces a lot of thrust thanks to my high speed motor. However, I really had to push the fan onto the shaft. Aside from that, it works well and fits snugly. (I hate that sometimes while slicing and printing, the tolerances get screwed up.)

I'm really sorry, as this was a slight problem for me as well, due to having to deal with shrinkages in materials and the inner/outer/inner feature in Bambu Studio to control accuracy of the print. I would suggest scaling it by 2.5% to 5% larger for a range 2.15 to 2.2 mm (respectively) in diameter to acheive a better fit. Nevertheless, thanks for the review!

completely destroyed my whole 3d printer and had to get a whole new nossle and other things, couldn’t print for 3 months because I’ve been fixing it

Hi @merrickfam, I’m sorry to hear you had issues while printing my model. However, I am not fully aware of how this design could cause the specified level of damage under normal print settings and use. Could you specify how the problem was caused, including your printer model, and any related information (photos, material, temperatures, nozzle size, speed)? Without that information, it’s difficult to identify what went wrong. Once again, I am sorry to hear this, and I will look into how my model could have caused print failure once more details are available.
