Description
Project Description:
This modification enables the addition of an endoscopic camera to a 3D printer for monitoring the print head's operation. The camera is mounted near the nozzle using a dedicated, 3D-printed bracket that replaces the original front cover of the print head.
Design Details:
- Camera Bracket:
- The 3D-printed bracket consists of two parts, which are connected using a piece of raw filament (1.75 mm diameter), allowing for easy assembly and disassembly.
- The endoscopic camera is inserted into the bracket and secured with an M3 screw to ensure stability during operation.
- Installation:
- The bracket replaces the original front cover of the print head.
- Once installed, the camera is positioned optimally for precise monitoring of the printing process and layer quality.
- Requirements:
- An endoscope with a diameter compatible with the bracket. (max 8mm)
- An M3 screw to secure the camera.
- Raw filament (1.75 mm) to connect the bracket parts.
