Description

A1 Rear Spool Holder with Filament Guide and Rotary Return Spring!

I designed a piece that allows you to mount the reel at the back of the printer to free up space at the top or for ams lite mounting on the top
The design allows the assembly of the filament guide of the original Bambu Lab spool holder and the yellow spool holder of the AMS Lite to have the advantage of the original BambuLab spring return

it is also designed unlike others not to obstruct the printer throughout the 256x256x256 printing area

To disassemble the filament guide, you can use the tools that came with the A1.

simply remove the PTFE thread guide/tube connector by unscrewing the bolt hidden in the ball hinge and screw it back into the new holder

Aggiornamento 8 2025!

Se non siete in possesso della guida filamento originale della bambulab A1 ho preparato questi modelli in versione destra o sinistra che utilizza un giunto a 360° sempre stampato in 3d:

Hello, thank you… Do you want it for the right side? Then it must be done with the green spring pin to achieve rotation in the same direction… What is the name of your YouTube channel?

And then you need a second original filament pass to mount it on both sides

Any plans to make a version for the newer A1 that doesn't have the removable arm for the filament guide?

Yes, I am indeed conceiving it in this manner; would that be amenable to your preferences

I ended up modifying the model in Solidworks. I can't share because I only have an education license, but would only take a few minutes to recreate.

Hello, might you provide a link to a filament guide compatible with the designated slot for its installation on this holder I possess the latest version of the Bambu Lab A1, and the external bracket is not removable I can detach the hotend tip and install it independently, however, its placement is far from ideal without the small extension; I believe this could lead to extrusion issues For my external TPU spools, my AMS is located on the upper section, mounted on a pivoting system; having the external spool underneath would constitute the ideal configuration Furthermore, there is also the matter of the stopper to prevent the spool from escaping and falling during intense vibrations As it stands, it has no end-stop if it is pulled outwards This is regrettable 🥴

I am currently devising it along these lines

It now mirrors the AMS, which similarly lacks any defensive mechanism against material expulsion
