Description

Version 2 out now! Use the Version 2 Print Profile!

The new version uses less material and prints much faster (by utilizing concentric layer lines). It also fits better in the AMS and has a small triangle on the top holes that will help you orient the print onto the cardboard spool. Please use that profile now.

I designed this Spool Adapter for the Bambu Lab AMS for my PolyLite PLA Pro spools, since none of the other adapters currently available fit it properly. This design utilizes the holes of the carboard spools to help lock the adapter in place as well as an anti-slip lip at the top (prints without supports) that will prevent the adapter from coming loose inside the AMS. I exported this as a high quality STL and as a result the curves on the outside have no flat edges and will spin easily inside the AMS. The model only uses 12g of filament.

Check out my other cardboard spool adapters!

I have tested this with the following PolyMaker products:

  • PolyLite
    • PLA
    • PLA Pro
    • LW-PLA
    • ABP
    • ASA
    • PETG
    • PC
  • PolySonic
    • PLA
    • PLA Pro
  • PolyMax
    • PLA
    • PETG
    • PETG-ESD
    • PC
    • PC-FR
  • PolyMide
    • PA6-GF
    • PA6-CF
    • PA12-GF
    • PA12-CF
  • PolyWood
    • Wood PLA

Based on other models I have found, the cardboard spools for the PolyTerra line have different hole arrangements and won't fit this model, but I haven't tested this myself.

If you print this for a spool not listed and it fits (or doesn't), please comment and let me know so I can update this list above. Thank you!

NOTE: The holes in the PolyMaker spools are not uniformly spaced, meaning this model will only fit in one orientation. If you try it and the holes don't line up with the pins, spin it to the next set of pins and try again.
