Meet "Bonfly" - the fruit fly catching Bonsai. The Bonsai Contest made me think of a model that is not just another plastic tree. I wanted the model to be functional and aesthetic at the same time. So I came up with "Bonfly" a bonsai inspired model that uses the same well known and tested "paper funnel in a jar with some vinegar and sugar" - concept to catch those nasty flies. Basically you put some lure (like vinegar and sugar) in the bottom - put the funnels in and add the bonsai on top - done. The flies will smell the lure and climb into the base and dont find a way back out. About half a year ago I created a plant model that uses the same concept and I can proudly say that this concept is proven. I caught so my flies with it while having a pretty looking planter in my kitchen.
