PlayBox: A Story Inspired by PLA Pure
PlayBox: A Story Inspired by PLA PurePlayBox and PLA Pure: When a Material Inspires a ProjectSome projects are born from a need, while others are born from an idea. PlayBox came from both. When Bambu Lab introduced PLA Pure, I didn't immediately think about a kitchen accessory or a food container. What truly caught my attention was the philosophy behind the material itself: transparency, safety, and attention to everyday use.PLA Pure was developed with a formulation containing only five ingredients and is among the first consumer filaments to comply with EU No.10/2011 regulations for food-contact materials, while also passing EN 71-3 toy safety tests. In addition, it has achieved UL GREENGUARD certification for low indoor emissions. Of course, the safety of the final object always depends on proper printing practices and responsible use. This led me to a simple question:"If I had to design something for family days outdoors, what would I create?"The answer became PlayBox.A portable case designed to accompany children and parents during picnics, holidays, road trips, and afternoons at the park.Inside, the box is divided into two independent sections:🍎 A dedicated snack area.🎲 A dedicated space for games and small stationery items.PlayBox includes a Domino set, Tic-Tac-Toe, a Memory game, a board game with pawns, and a sliding number puzzle. Even the outside of the case becomes part of the experience, transforming into a game board itself.I chose PLA Pure because I wanted a material developed with particular attention to safety and ingredient traceability, qualities that perfectly match the concept of an object intended for family moments and shared experiences. To ensure the cleanest possible printing process, I dedicated a separate hotend exclusively to PLA Pure, following Bambu Lab's recommendations. This helps minimize the risk of contamination from previously used materials.PlayBox was never meant to replace tablets or video games. It simply aims to remind us that sometimes all it takes is a snack, a few games, and the right people to create the most beautiful memories.❤️ Open. Snack. Play. Repeat. Take a look at my latest project! 🎒☀️Hope you like it! ❤️https://makerworld.com/it/models/2969449-playbox-snack-fun-case#profileId-3329979
A Small Lighthouse That Feels Like Home 🌊✨
A Small Lighthouse That Feels Like Home 🌊✨Bringing the Atmosphere of Peggy’s Cove to the Desk 🌊There are places capable of transmitting emotions even before being visited. Peggy’s Cove, with its granite rocks, ocean waves and iconic lighthouse overlooking the Atlantic, has always been one of those places for me.This project was born from the desire to transform that atmosphere into a warm and relaxing decorative object, designed specifically for home 3D printing. The model is inspired by the famous Peggy’s Point Lighthouse in Nova Scotia, Canada, but it is not an official replica. It is an artistic reinterpretation created to preserve the recognizable silhouette and maritime feeling while adapting the structure for practical, reliable and satisfying printing. (Maker World)Designed Around LightFrom the beginning, the goal was not simply to create a lighthouse model, but a small ambient lamp capable of creating atmosphere even when viewed from across the room. For this reason, the project was designed around the Bambu Lab MH001 LED kit, allowing warm light to spread softly through the windows and upper lantern. To improve the visual effect:the walls feature a slightly textured surface to diffuse light more evenlythe lantern area was designed to create depth and realistic highlightsthe balcony and upper details remain visually interesting even when the lamp is turned offThe result is a lighthouse that feels alive both day and night.Modular Design for Easy Multicolor PrintingOne of the most important aspects of the project was accessibility.I wanted the model to look elegant even on single-color printers and to remain easy to customize without requiring AMS.For this reason, several parts are separated:balcony fencewindow frameslantern gridThis makes color separation simple and allows makers to personalize the final appearance with different filament combinations.Optimized for Real PrintingAs always, the focus was not only aesthetics, but also real printability. The geometry was carefully designed to reduce supports to the minimum possible, limiting them only to a few necessary areas. The windows include integrated removable supports designed to detach quickly, helping reduce cleanup time and material waste while preserving sharp details. This approach comes directly from my philosophy regarding MakerWorld uploads: beautiful models should also be enjoyable and realistic to print. (Maker World)More Than a LighthouseFor me, lighthouses have always represented something more than architecture. They are symbols of guidance, calm and distance. A small light visible in the dark. This project tries to capture exactly that feeling: a warm coastal atmosphere recreated through 3D printing.Perfect for:desk setupsbookshelvesbedside tablesreading cornerscozy ambient lightingor simply for those who love the sea.Thank you for supporting my work and my projects. Seeing these ideas come to life inside your homes is always the most beautiful part of creating. 🌊
With Three Broom Handles… A Lamp is Born
With Three Broom Handles… A Lamp is BornThere are objects that tell a story even before they are switched on. This lamp is one of them. A simple, almost instinctive idea that takes shape from three ordinary broom handles and transforms them into an elegant, warm, and incredibly functional piece of furniture. The concept is as essential as it is effective: three wooden rods come together in a stable, slender tripod structure, creating a solid yet visually light base. The result is a floor lamp with a clean design, perfectly suited to different environments , from the living room to an office, all the way to a cozy reading corner. The lampshade diffuses a soft, warm light, ideal for creating atmosphere without being overwhelming. This balance between form and function is what makes the model special: it’s not just a light source, but a true focal point within the space. At mid-height, a practical circular shelf adds a smart and useful detail: perfect for holding a book, a remote control, or small everyday items. A thoughtful addition that makes the lamp not only beautiful, but genuinely functional. What truly stands out is the contrast between the simplicity of the original materials and the final result. An object born from common elements, reimagined with creativity, proving that great design can come from the simplest ideas. A lamp that doesn’t try to impress with excess, but wins you over with balance, warmth, and personality. Because sometimes, all it takes is a little… even just three broom handles.
