Description
Do you too have a growing box of filament poop?

Love Ducks?
Well, here is my attempt to recycle filament poop into ducks!
This project is heavily inspired by @ysk1025 and @ummm
There are two separate models one with a plunger and one without out. I have not figured out which is better yet, I'm still playing around with the model and exact filament usage amounts.
-Please seek the help and approval of an adult before begining if you are under 18.
-Please make sure to have proper ventilation as you will be melting more plastic than usual there will be more odor.
-Please note this is my first go around at this. if you have positive criticism or helpful feedback please feel free to reach out.
Directions:
- Print out the model of your choosing
- Coat the model in a mold-release agent of some sort. (my first try was with cooking oil and it worked fine)

- Optional: Using a kitchen scale measure out your filament (I have been experimenting with around 15g ish)

- Put the measured plastic in something to heat. I like to use these silicone cupcake holders, but my first go around was with parchment paper in a metal pan.
- Next using an oven or other heating source of choice, heat up your filament plastic.
- Remove the melted plastic from the heating source and with oven mitts or other heat protection, try to roll or push it together into a ball or oval shape.
- For the non-plunger style - Place the melted plastic into the mold and compress with the other side. For the plunger style - close the mold and begin stuffing the bottom hole with plastic using the plunger to compress.
- After the molded plastic has cooled for a few, it is safe to remove one-half of the mold. Let the model cool for a few minutes longer until completely solid or if in a rush, run it under some cold water before completely removing the model from the mold.
