Protect your building's fire safety infrastructure with this heavy-duty, 3D-printable FDC swivel cover. Designed to replace missing or damaged brass caps, this cover keeps debris, nesting insects, and corrosion out of your inlets while ensuring fire crews can instantly access the port in an emergency. (Please always obey local fire code, this cover may not qualify in your area)
By default this model should fit most standard FDCs, no customization needed.

- Secure Hardware Fit: Designed for standard 1/4" eyebolts with reinforced rectangular necks for maximum installation durability.
- Alignment Flanges: Includes dual internal arcs to keep the cap perfectly centered and prevent "walking" or rattling within the swivel.
How to Customize
This model uses the MakerWorld MakerLab / OpenSCAD Customizer. No coding knowledge required!
- Measure your Port: Use calipers to measure the internal diameter (ID) of your FDC swivel.
- Adjust Cap_ID: Set this to match your measurement (Standard is usually 69.2mm to 77.5mm).
- Choose your Branding: * Text Mode: Enter your text in the Label_Text box.
- Logo Mode: Set Branding_Type to "Logo" and upload a high-contrast B&W image (SVG/PNG). Use Logo_Size to fit it perfectly.
- Fine-Tune the Fit: Adjust Flange_Arc_Angle to change how much of the internal ring supports the cap (Default is 68° for a sturdy, balanced grip).
By default this model should fit most standard FDCs
Recommended Print Settings
- Orientation: Print Face Down (Branding/Text on the build plate).
- Material: ASA is highly recommended for UV resistance and "snappy" breakaway performance. PETG is a secondary option, but if used, inspect frequently for weathering.
- Profile: Default "Strength" or "Extra Draft" profiles work great, slower profiles may result in better logo or text.
- Support: None Required! The internal flanges are designed to print as vertical walls.
Hardware Required
- (2) 1/4" Eyebolts (Length depends on your specific swivel depth).
- (2) 1/4" Nuts to secure the bolts to the breakaway tabs.
