3D Scanning Tower for Small Objects
Print Profile(1)

Bill of Materials
Description
A 3D scanning plinth designed to solve tracking issues when scanning small or featureless objects. The design is inspired by the work of Artisans of Vaul.
The tower features a unique, non-uniform surface with random extrusions and indentations. This provides the scanner with high-contrast geometric data, making it significantly easier for the software to triangulate its position and maintain tracking during rotation.
Specifications:
- Dimensions: 50 mm height, 50 mm diameter.
- Top Surface: Features a central hole for mounting additional supports like clips or blu-tack.

I would really appreciate it!
Print Settings:
- Walls: 2
- Infill: 10-15%
- Support: None needed.
- Filament Choice: Avoid black or matte filaments. A light-colored, semi-glossy filament (like light grey or white) is recommended to ensure the scanner can clearly capture the surface details.
