Simple spool adapter

I designed this adapter to meet my need for simplicity and durability/robustness. I preferred to design the adapter in order to complete it with simple hardware (a few cents).

In particular, the material to be purchased separately is:

1. n°1 M8 x 100mm bolt
2. n°1 M8 nut
3. n° 1 washer with outer diameter 18mm, inner diameter 8 mm, thickness 1.5mm
4. n°1 washer with outer diameter 24mm, inner diameter 8mm, thickness 2mm
5. n°1 extended nut (technically a joining nut) M8 x 40mm

I made the design in PETG for its mechanical properties.

Once printed, simply insert the joining nut into the hexagonal hole of the "male" body and screw in the bolt with the two washers (p.s. both washers can be small, it works the same), and lock it with the nut. The bolt acts as a pivot to mount the adapter on the drill chuck. The "female" body will screw on the opposite side of the spool.

The washers can also be printed in PETG, it will reduce the robustness but maintain the functionality.

Tip: the hardware can also be locked using a threadlocker or Loctite.
