HAFC V2 – mechanical filament safety system Hey 👋 I built a fully mechanical filament cutter that prevents failed prints when a spool gets stuck. Instead of grinding or skipping, it cuts the filament and lets the printer pause via the runout sensor. V2 is more compact, smoother, and includes a return spring + adjustable trigger force. No electronics, works on any FDM printer. Looking for feedback 👀

When I placed my P2S on a high shelf, I realized the screen was almost impossible to read because it only tilts upward. Instead of moving the printer, I designed a simple solution: a mount that tilts the screen 45° downward. The part clips between the printer and the screen, allowing the ribbon cable to pass through a dedicated hole. A quick print in PLA and the screen becomes perfectly visible again. Problem solved!

This project started from a simple frustration: navigating in Fusion 360 only with a mouse didn’t feel natural. So I designed a dedicated 3D navigation joystick, 3D printed and powered by Arduino. After several prototypes to refine sensitivity and ergonomics, I achieved a smooth and simple controller. I’d love to hear your ideas for improvements! HackMan3D
