After my last DJI Neo 2 crash, one of the transmitter antennas broke. Smart move… after the damage is done 😅 So I downloaded an STL protector from MakerWorld and printed a case for the transmitter. Unfortunately my homemade acrobatics led to more crashes. The printed case wasn’t doing its job because it kept falling off. That’s why I decided to design my own version and after a huge number of attempts (many, many, many…), I finally succeeded!

As a drone and 3D printing enthusiast, I noticed that the available DJI Neo 2 legs are heavy and not very resistant to uneven landings. Inspired by aerospace structures, I designed lightweight (5g/set) honeycomb legs in FreeCAD, reducing weight by 60% while maintaining strength. Tests confirmed stability – I'm sharing to support the enthusiast community!
