NOVA MEG-X - Levitating future car | Kit Challenge
THE IDEA
I've always been fascinated by the future. Sometimes I think I'd love to live in the year 3000, just to see what cars will look like. That's where NOVA MEG-X came from: a piece of the future to keep on my desk — one that doesn't exist yet but could, and that sparks futuristic ideas in me every time I look at it. --- THE DESIGN
In Fusion 360 I usually design structural and mechanical components. This was my very first time with an organic shape like a car body — a different world. But I love a challenge, so I dove in and modeled everything from scratch. The biggest challenge was weight: the kit holds up to 200 g and the complete car weighs just 184 g, floating steadily. Balancing was tricky, because with magnetic levitation the magnet's position matters and it works in an "opposite" way to normal. --- THE ASSEMBLY
I designed each part with the right print orientation, for a perfect tilt on the plate and a clean assembly. For the car I deliberately chose glue instead of screws or joints: it's a piece that needs to stay firm and handle stress, and from experience I know screws and joints tend to loosen under load. The base is pure hands-on work: the LED strip goes into the slots I built for it, all calculated to sit right. --- THE BIRTH OF SOMETHING NEW
While working on this project I found a new way to secure LED strips: I designed a small clip that holds the strip down and firmly in place, with no glue and no lifting. A simple but effective solution, born from solving a practical problem on this car. And it's not just for NOVA MEG-X: it's a clip I can reuse in many other projects where you need to fix an LED strip cleanly. Sometimes the best ideas come up like this, while you're solving something else entirely. --- 🎯 PERSONAL NOTE
I'm happy with myself and with this project. I always look for new challenges, beyond my current skills. I'm a hobbyist and I keep banging my head against it until it works: four years ago I learned from videos, today I try and fail until I truly understand. Grazie a tutti per aver scaricato il progetto.
Ascoltando le esigenze di alcuni utenti, ho realizzato due varianti per adattarsi meglio alle diverse configurazioni.
Con la necessità di alcuni utenti di ottimizzare il posizionamento delle piantine, ho realizzato due varianti:
Un utente mi ha mostrato la sua configurazione: aveva delle piantine in vasetti appoggiate davanti a una lunga asse di legno. La versione con il foro di fissaggio è stata pensata proprio per questo tipo di setup.
Un altro utente, invece, aveva a disposizione solo un paletto ma due piantine affiancate; per questo ho progettato una variante che permette di creare una serie utilizzando due gancetti.

Goal in Levitation
LINK Download:Pallone da calcio a levitazione magnetica - Modello di stampa 3D gratuito - MakerWorld Mi sono divertito a realizzare questo progetto, cercando di unire design e tecnologia in qualcosa di semplice ma d’effetto.L’idea era quella di ricreare il momento del Goal, ma in modo diverso: un pallone sospeso grazie alla levitazione magnetica all’interno di una porta con la rete sagomata Dietro a un risultato pulito c’è stato un lavoro importante, soprattutto sulla rete, studiata per ottenere una deformazione realistica senza complicare la stampa.L’obiettivo era rendere tutto il più semplice possibile per chi lo realizza: stampa facile, assemblaggio rapido e un effetto finale che sorprende. la rete è stata creata utilizzando un metodo che ho vista sul concorso natale dove un creatore creava una sagoma per deformale la plastica. Ma la vera difficoltà è stata la realizzazione della palla da calcio. Il diametro della sfera doveva essere il più ridotto possibile, pur integrando al suo interno il magnete. Ho dovuto posizionare il magnete il più in basso possibile, così da aumentare la distanza dalla base e rendere più evidente lo spazio di fluttuazione percepito dall’occhio. Tutto quello che compone la palla da calcio:La palla è composta da tre corpi: Il pezzo SOTTO che tiene alloggiato il magneteil pezzo ANELLO che unice pezzo sopra e pezzo sotto in più spinge in basso il magnete magnete e tiene in posizione la scheda ledin fine il pezzo SOPRA con tutti i fori per poter permettere alla luce di passare più facilmentePEZZO SOTTO:PEZZO ANELLO:PEZZO SOPRA: Inoltre, le FACCETTE bianche centrali tengo ancora più saldati le due partiI pali della porta sono semplici da stampare e da assemblare, ho creato delle giunzioni semplici e veloci per l'assemblaggio Per la BASE ho pensato proprio a tutto dalla clip che blocca la schedina per il sensore touch e per migliorare l'assemblaggio ho curato il passaggio cavi creando delle piccole linguette. In fine la targhetta creato con OpenSCAD, caricata con successo sulla piattaforma in modo tale da poterla modificare a vostro piacimento. Con la possibilità di ingrandire il testo e di modificare lo spazio fra lettere. Ho sempre cercato di dare il massimo su questa piattaforma, e vedere che i miei progetti vengono apprezzati da così tante persone è una soddisfazione enorme. L’idea di vedere un pallone sospeso all’interno di una porta da calcio mi sembrava perfetta per ricreare quel momento che nel calcio dura un attimo, ma che spesso rimane impresso per anni.
Da piccolo guardavo Captain Tsubasa con Holly e Benji e mi hanno sempre colpito quei campi infiniti e le scene in cui, dopo un tiro potentissimo, la palla continuava a ruotare nella rete per la forza del colpo. In questo progetto ho voluto ricreare proprio quella sensazione, cercando di dare movimento e dinamismo a una scena statica.
