Introducing the AMS Riser V4 for Bambu Lab Printers
The AMS Riser V4 builds upon the success of V3 by retaining all its key features while introducing several enhancements based on user feedback:
Features Carried Over from V3:
- Protection: Prevents the glass and AMS unit from falling or tilting.
- Secured Mounting: Includes clamps that attach the riser to the printer's housing, ensuring stability and preventing accidental detachment.
- Optimized LED Mounting: Improved attachment design, angled for optimal lighting of the build plate.
- Optional Stopper: Prevents the glass from opening too far.
- Accessory Grooves: Grooves on both sides allow easy mounting of various accessories, including hex panels (HSW), IKEA Skadis panels, tool holders, and more.
- Part Labels: Clearly labeled parts simplify assembly.
What’s New in V4:
- Dual-Direction Opening: A single version now supports opening the riser both forward and backward, allowing users to choose their preferred direction.
- Increased Height: The riser has been elevated by a few millimeters to accommodate use with the X1C printer. It can now slide forward, enabling the glass to move above the printer's screen - a limitation in the previous version.
- Cable Management: A dedicated groove has been added for easy cable routing or LED strip installation without needing to cut or remove USB or other connectors.
This new version delivers enhanced flexibility and usability while maintaining the reliable features users loved in V3.
Added AMS Riser V4.5 - use only if you want the glass to slide easier
Built on the advancements of the AMS Riser V4, the AMS Riser V4.5 refines the design further by improving ease of use while retaining all the core features that made previous versions successful.
Key Improvements in V4.5:
🔹 Effortless Installation: Adjusted dimensions ensure smoother insertion into the printer frame, making setup even easier.
🔹 Enhanced Glass Movement: The glass panel now slides more smoothly forward and backward, addressing feedback from users who experienced resistance in previous versions.

Add-ons
A new version of the AMS Riser called Extended has been added, raised by 2mm and designed to apply less pressure on the glass and its frame, reducing friction and allowing for smoother glass movement.
