Description

Milwaukee makes these shitty USB adapters, which deliver like 1 amp… but the 12v output for the heated jackets was cool, except it only delivered like 1 amp too…

So I made this! It uses an off the shelf automotive USB insert, it delivers up to 3 amps per output, and I added a barrel plug socket so I could run my T100 soldering iron directly from it. The USB insert takes anything from 12-24v so the 18v tool battery fits nicely into that input range! Just add a switch and a barrel jack and a few bits of wire and bob's your auntie!

I designed this in 2018, if I was to make it again now I'd add USBC PD, maybe you can do that if you make it!

Link for barrel jack (slightly different than mine, but should work) - https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_ooGZlsl

If you need a Milwaukee power bank with 240 output, check out this project I made around the same time for my youtube channel!
