Description

A1 AMS 4-Way Splitter Kit

 

This kit allows you to use the A1 AMS Hub as a 4-way splitter. I've printed a few splitters and this one is silky smooth and is a complete kit.

 

NOTE: There are two versions of the Mounting Bracket. One is straight and the other is angled. I tested hundreds of prints with both and never had any feeding or pull back issues with either. I'm providing both in case you have a preference.

Kit Includes

  • Adapter for A1 AMS hub
  • Mounting bracket for the Adapter
  • PTFE Coupler Release Button

Installation

  • Install the PTFE Coupler Button first (click here for instructions)
  • Remove the outer most screw to the right of the chamber filament tube

  • Using a screw install the Adapter Mounting Bracket. The Spool Arm Screw, or equivalent, will work.
  • Install the A1 AMS Hub. You'll need to remove the magnet tab with cutters. Then align the tabs of the A1 AMS Hub with the Adapter and insert and twist.
  • Insert the Adapter/Hub assembly into the Mounting Bracket and then into the PTFE Coupler. Make sure it is fully seated in the PTFE Coupler.
  • Insert desired PTFE tubes into the A1 AMS Hub

That is indeed the 4-way input adapter on the A1 (mini?), adapted for use on an X1. I cat to cut a little bit off, but it works just fine.

I only released PLA Print Profiles. If you used a PLA Print Profile using PETG then of course it wouldn't print well. I will create a PETG Print Profile for you. Check back in the next 24 to 48 hours.

Did you ever create a PETG profile (one isn't attached). I imagine it would only need be scaled to account for shrinkage (I used 100.04% X/Y/Z scale on another recent print intended for PLA to fit correctly using PETG). Correct?
