Description

Keychain screws together to hold an Airtag, new file for multi-material printer with thicker keychain loop!

Updated profile 12/2024 to print by object. No unnecessary color swaps now.

Please do not use the “0.2mm layer, 3 walls, 15% infill” profile by spectremz - there is no need to have so many swaps

perfect! just don't screw too hard...I broke the threads of the top piece clean off. I need better layer adhesion. not the fault of the profile

Did you manually set the purge values, when changing from PETG to PLA? You can't bake this step/value into the print profile but it is absolutely mandatory to do that, otherwise the layers will break apart or do not stick. the value must be around 600/650 (!).

I definitely didn't! I'll try your suggestion though. Thanks so much!

If you don't do that the print will FAIL and brake apart. Unfortunately there is no way to "bake" that into the printprofile.

A real shame that the design is made in only 2 pieces, with so much filament change and excessive support. It could be just as functional and much easier to print.

Prints great in PETG. Cleaning up the supports is a PITA… but after cleanup looks perfect. Smooth and when closed, feels like one solid piece with the AirTag inside.

The supports were quite hard to get off. I ended up making an alternative profile, that I published.
