Description

2D art display for a Transformers Grimlock patent drawing.

Use a color swap for the line work to add contrast or simply color the lines with a marker or paint pen (I find a Sharpie works well).

The frame that allows the picture to hang on a wall or stand on a desk / shelf. Just snap the picture in.

Important:

Be sure to allow the print to fully cool before removing from the build plate to avoid warping it while still warm.
If you are having trouble printing thin lines or the slicer preview, make sure the Arachne wall generator is enabled.

I made this as a gift for my wife for Christmas let me just say without actually saying anything she was very grateful if you know what I mean. The only thing I would do differently is, I would close the back of the frame so that a person with whatever slicer of their choosing could add a whole wherever they wanted, so that an electrical cord could be run through turning the plate and frame into a light box/lamp.

I am totally gonna turn this into a lamp. do you have a version of the base with a back?

Not at the moment, but I'm open to ideas. I hadn't settled on the best way to add LEDs that is easily reproduced by others. I did experiment with an LED strip: https://makerworld.com/en/models/34760#profileId-32000 Bambu sells an light panel that goes with a nice printable frame here: https://us.store.bambulab.com/products/bambu-cmyk-backlight-board If that seems like that would work I can create a version that fits.
