This box is designed to be generated according to your configuration. STL and print profiles are provided as EXAMPLES. Use the Customize button to generate and download your box.
The lid of this box can be attached in multiple orientations, allowing it to be utilized as a discard pocket/compartment. The compact design makes it a great module for your board game insert and helps to save precious space on your gaming shelve and table.
You can:
* - due to Makerworld limitations you can divide the capacity of the box only into equal chunks. Custom divider placement is supported when you open a .scad file in OpenSCAD. Use the Subdivisions option to specify the array of lengths to allocate divisions.
** - text and SVG can be customized only in the slicer. Provided print profiles can be used to simplify this process.
The current version of Parametric Model Maker does not have many fonts and does not allow the addition of SVG images. To cover this gap, I made a set of print profiles with a reference box generated to store MTG-size (63.5x88) sleeved cards. Just follow the below steps to generate and print your custom box:
Boxes can be assembled in multiple different configurations which may be useful in different game mechanics.
IMPORTANT! It might be challenging to assemble a freshly printed box, especially in “L-shape”. You will need to use a gentle force the first few times, but after ~5-10 assembly cycles it will work like a glove. Adjust tolerance if you struggle to get dimensionally accurate, snappy result with your printer or filament.
Position | Description | Showcase |
---|---|---|
Closed | Slide the lid from top to bottom till it snaps in place. Use it when you don't play the game :) You can easily store it in the box of your board game. | |
Reversed | Slide the lid from bottom to top leaving the opening only from one side of the card holder. Useful when you can only draw cards to your hand or another deck with a separate discard pile. | |
The Office | Attach the lid to the back of the box to form a vertical rack. Draw cards from the top and discard them to the bottom, or vice versa, depending on your need to see a discard pile.
* - This assembly can be done only when the stack height is lower than the height of the box

L-shape | Slide the box with cards into the corner of the lid. It is best applicable when the game mechanic allows you to see the top of the discard pile and draw from it. | |
Flat | Snap the lid to the bottom of the box and put it flat on the table. Another position with a discard pile on display. | |
Secret | Use your imagination :) | ??? |
