This lightweight, non-marring clamp can be used for bridge or bracing repair work. The truss-work body is stiff enough for the modest clamping forces used in guitar repair. It also features a second leveling screw to help keep the clamp aligned with the guitar top.

You will also need two short pieces of 1/4-20 threaded rod and six 1/4-20 nuts. Press one nut in each of the hex cavities in the clamp body and use a drop of superglue if they won't stay put. Put another nut on the end of each threaded rod and then insert into the wingnut from the top. Run another nut up the long length of the threaded rod and lock it in place against the wingnut. Finally, feed the threaded rods through the nuts in the body and then thread on the clamp pad pieces (using more superglue if they won't stay in place).
