Treasure chest Hinges connect with filament

 

Tip: The holes in the hinge can be too small, so you can drill it with 2mm drill bit and you heated and flattened the end of the filament pin on both side to make a rivet

Exactly what I've been looking for. Printed really well! Painted and scaled mine up to 110% for what I needed it for, and used paperclips for the hinges. I can upload the painted profile shortly.

Very cool print!!! I printed this out for my daughters teacher at school to put in the coins I designed and printed for her to pass out to the kids when they are good. I wanted to put them in a treasure chest so they know it’s special and this is perfect!!! I increased the size of the chest which made the hinges not so tight. I ended up using filament and wrapping tape around it to make it tighter in the holes worked out well! The teacher is going to love this!!! Thanks for sharing!!!

A piece of filament was too big to fit through the hinge holes. I ended up using copper phone wire. maybe make hinges that don't need filament?

Cool looking print, but for the life of me I couldn't get any filament through the hinge mechanism. I think the holes need to be bigger.
