A1 Side Storage V2 - Storage MORE
Print Profile(5)

Bill of Materials
Description
Hi All!! Based on the large amount of wonderful comments and feedback from my previous design, I have put a lot of work into trying to make it as usable and practical as possible (V1 here https://makerworld.com/en/models/918040#profileId-883762).
Update (5th Jan 2025): Optional handle added, for people having trouble opening the side drawers, I have added an optional additional 5 minute print that you can snap into the drawer holes to allow for easier opening!! Hope this helps :))

What is it? This is a side storage container that sits below the screen of the A1 printer, providing two storage containers to keep small tools, accessories, etc that you need around the printer, without increasing the overall profile of the printer.

Why do you want it? Often losing your tools required for every day prints, want to keep track of the spare oils and screws provided with the printer so that months down the line you can find them once again, keep them safe right next to the printer.
How is it upgraded? From the previous design, which just had a single container accessible from the front, we have had a 100% increase in number of containers. That's right, TWO containers. Another massive bonus is the hook on the side of the container, this is there to keep the storage container from moving around when you try open the boxes, a little added part hooks under the printer and makes sure to keep the containers still.
How to install? With the new hook, you will need to slightly lift the printer to slide this hook underneath, ensuring the containers don't move. To make sure it is set in place properly, slightly raise printer, press the container flush against the case, lower the printer, ensuring that it lowers back to its original position. Note: If the printer is not sitting flat, the positioning is not correct. A visual demonstration is provided below:

How should I print it? The print profile I have created is a 0.28mm layer height, 5% infill, thin wall, tree support profile that optimises both speed and minimises costs. It took me ~6hrs and 200g of filament. A visual of the print plate is provided below:

How can I support you? By boosting this build or any of my other builds, or with a small one time donation here https://buymeacoffee.com/awesomaster?new=1, I'm trying to get into doing this a bit more seriously and these kind's of things would really help me equip my workshop and increase my workflow so I can pump out more high quality prints!!
Any more questions? Post a comment or send a message, I am normally fairly responsive and love to hear how you think I can make it better!
