Description

Modular Einhell 18V Battery Wall Mount

I needed a storage solution for my Einhell 18V batteries that could be mounted anywhere, so I designed this battery wall mount for flexibility and durability.

Modular with Dovetail Connections

Each holder features dovetail joints that allow you to securely clip multiple mounts together. The connection is tight, requiring firm pressure on each corner until you hear an audible click

When connecting multiple holders, the snug and sturdy dovetail fit means you won’t need to use a bolt or screw in every hole, depending on your use case.

 Universal Orientation for Mounting

Thanks to the integrated locking mechanism in the battery, these mounts work in any orientation: facing up, down, to the side, or even horizontally under a workbench. The battery locks firmly in place when pushed into the holder, and to release it, simply press the battery’s locking tab.

Precise and Play-Free Fit

I modelled it for a tight, nearly play less fit, ensuring your batteries stay secure. I tested them with various battery sizes: 5.2Ah, 4.0Ah, 3.0Ah, and 2.0Ah.

Note: My 2.0Ah battery has apparently slightly tighter tolerances then my other battery's. But fits much better after a bit of back and forth movement in the holder.

I desired a tight fit thats why it's modelled like this.

However I recommend printing a test piece and if you find it too tight adjust the scaling in the slicer. Experience shows 3-5% uniform scaling are sufficient.

Reinforced with Support Modifiers

To ensure the holder withstands heavy use over a long time, I have integrated three support modifiers in the slicer file to strengthen critical areas:

  • Around the bolt holes (70mm apart, compatible with screws/bolts up to 5.5mm in diameter)

  • The lip where the factory locking mechanism slides in

 Material Recommendations

This model prints well with both PLA and PETG, but for high-temperature environments, PETG is recommended. It’s perfect for workshops or garages where summer heat can be a concern.

Happy Printing! :)
