I often use my soldering iron for short projects, before putting it away. I don't like the wet sponge for cleaning soldering irons as it needs to dry out before storage. Curly brass cleaners are ideal, but most holders aren't ideal for chucking into an electronics toolbox as they are open designs and stuff can fall out.
I developed this to solve both problems, giving me a nice holder for the brass wool, and allowing me to close the cleaner so I could chuck it in my tool box without spilling stuff everywhere.
There's also an alternative, more amusing version. This hasn't been printed or tested, but some may enjoy it. :D
