Introducing the "Safe Cutter," a 3D printable utility knife designed specifically for carpet or cutter blades with break-off segments. This practical tool allows for precise cutting while minimizing the risk of damage to package contents. The blade protrudes only 4mm, and a removable protective cover ensures safe handling and storage.

Key Features:

Precision Cutting: The blade is carefully positioned to provide a precise 4mm cutting edge, allowing for controlled and damage-free package opening.
Protective Cover: A removable protective cover is included, offering an additional layer of safety. Users can easily attach or detach the cover to ensure safe handling and storage.
User-Friendly Assembly: The package includes two main components – the blade holder and the protective cover. Users are required to 3D print these components and, once printed, insert an 18mm break-off segment from a cutter blade into the holder.

Instructions:

Print Components: Utilize a 3D printer to produce the blade holder and protective cover using the provided design files.

Assemble Blade Holder: Once printed, insert an 18mm section of a "Cuttermesser Abbrechmesser" blade into the designated slot on the blade holder.

Attach Protective Cover: For added safety, easily attach the protective cover to the blade holder when the tool is not in use.

I already had a knife. But it was always everywhere and nowhere. So I made four more. Now I just have to add the blade. The printing was very easy and worked perfectly. Thanks to the designer

Great Design, Easy to print files, very usefull. Printed in red PLA on the anycubic vyper. Optimized profile for small parts." I redesigned the cutter by adding grooves on the top to improve grip during cutting. I also created another half part so that we can take advantage of the textured beds.

That is a nice box cutter. great that it uses just a small part of a blade. Also it is designed well and printed really good. I printed it in Formfutura ReForm rPET and added ironing to top layers.
