Compact box for DeWALT kit DWMT73805

😊 Project Goal:

This project was created to significantly reduce the size of the set, making it convenient for transportation, storage, and everyday use. Thanks to this box design, the set now easily fits into a jeans pocket.

🔧 Advantages:

1. Ease of Use: Compared to the standard version, usability not only remains the same but has actually improved. The box now includes additional space for eight bits.

2. Compact Design: The box takes up less space while retaining full functionality.

🤝 Collaboration:

This project was developed in collaboration with DaveMars, who designed the internal layout of the set. My contributions included:

• Designing the box;

• Making small adjustments to the internal insert for better optimization.

🛠️ Before Printing:

1. Design Feature: Extra space has been intentionally left in the top lid to accommodate foam. The foam holds the tools securely, preventing rattling and mixing during transportation.

2. Material: You will need foam with a thickness of 8-9 mm.

📁 Files and Foam Handling:

• I’ve provided a DXF file containing the foam cutting pattern.

• The foam can be cut either with scissors or using a laser cutter.
