Description

There are many great glass top risers and lifters, but I came across this simple sliding solution by @erick.burgess which also allows an LED strip: https://makerworld.com/en/models/45246#profileId-46982

I personally don't care for more LEDs inside my printer (yet) so my goal was to make it as low profile as possible for an extremely discrete appearance so that the printer doesn't have a big chunk of printed filament at the top.

Function wise, it works the same as the original design. Simply push the glass panel back whether you place the AMS on top or not. I applied some Teflon PTFE tape I had lying around which definitely helps, but it may or may not be necessary for you.

Just finally a low profile riser. To fix my failed to pull back errors (as my filament always was stuck at the extruder I needed just 5 mm more rising on the glass plate. (Tester it with wood strokes) I ended up modding the design to a closed bezel (as it’s against the wall) and trimmed a little off from the bottom to minimize and rise exact 5mm (included eva foam to protect and seal the glass pane)

I like the minimalist design but the side wall frame that guides the glass was a little too thin for my print and started to break apart. I can't rule out printing issues on my end though because I needed something like this to begin with, and I do like the design!
