Bit Tray - Hex Drivers (1/4" & 4mm) - Gridfinity
Print Profile(2)

Description
UPDATED → 07/04/2025 → Expanded the tray to a 2x2 to include my precision bit drivers as well.
This is the trailing development in my attempt to organize my array of hex bits and associated tools. Although this is one part of a multi-component organizational series, it is a stand alone unit. (Hex Bit Tray can be found HERE / Torque Limiter Tray can be found HERE)
These are 2x1x3U & 2x2x3U Gridfinity format organization trays for the hex bit drivers that end up laying on my desk or stuck under some notebook when I am done working on a project. There are no magnets in this model as the tray itself is light and the drivers are intended to be easy access.
2x1x3U tray:
- 1st Hole = 11mm diameter for straight shaft drivers (centering nub at bottom to help with alignment)
- 2nd Hole = 20mm diameter for specialty drivers (JW Tool Co v3 Precision Driver - centering nub at bottom)
2x2x3U tray:
- 1st Hole (¼") = 11mm diameter for straight shaft drivers (centering nub at bottom to help with alignment)
- 2nd Hole (¼") = 20mm diameter for specialty drivers (JW Tool Co v3 Precision Driver - centering nub at bottom)
- Center Hole (¼") = 21.5mm diameter for the iFixit Mahi driver
- 3rd Hole (4mm) = 16.5mm diameter for iFixit Electric precision driver
- 4th Hole (4mm) = 12.5mm diameter for iFixit aluminum precision driver
NOTE 1: There are a vast array of drivers out there. As such, I have included the actual STL files in the upload so you can modify to your specific use case. I felt this was the easiest route to go to quelch any special requests to modify or reupload to fit specific drivers. While the centering nubs within the holes should fit most drivers, all you should have to do is alter the outer diameters of Hole #1 &/or #2 for your drivers and you should be good to go.
NOTE 2: The layer height is set to 0.16 and the main profile is for PETG-CF, so it prints slow. If you are using different filament, you could print with a different speed and infill.
NOTE 3: The top of the bin is a separate part or object, so you are able to change the color if you prefer to do so.
