Description

This is more of an organizational solution for certain “smiths” out there (you know who you are). Effectively, a nesting cradle for those over-priced torque limiters we love to accumulate. Although this is one part of a multi-component organizational series, it is a stand alone unit. (¼" Bit Tray can be found HERE / Hex Driver Tray can be found HERE)

 

This is a 4x2 Gridfinity format organization tray for almost the entire collection of Torque Limiters from Fix-it-Sticks. It is tiered and staggered (where possible) for easy access and identification of the limiter you are trying to locate. Additionally, there are cutouts for the insertion of 6x2mm Neodymium Magnets for each slot to help with retention (x29 magnets in total).

  • Large limiter slots = x8
  • Large adjustable limiter slot = x1 (top right corner)
  • Small adjustable limiter slow = x1 (top left corner)
  • Small limiter slots = x19 (of the 24 limiters produced by Fix-it-Sticks, meaning it's short 5…)

NOTE 1: There are approximately 4 or 5 pauses to allow for the insertion of the magnets. However, due to the weight of the limiters, the magnets have less of an impact than on small/lighter ¼" style bits. As such, I have uploaded a non-magnetic profile as well that removes these cutouts entirely.

 

NOTE 2: The layer height is set to 0.16 and the main profile is for PETG-CF, so it prints slow. If you are using different filament, you could print with a different speed and infill.

 

NOTE 3: The top of each shelf is a separate part or object, so you are able to change the color if you prefer to do so.
