Protective Bumper Case for M4 Mac mini

The tiny size of the M4 Mac mini makes it a great portable desktop – certainly small enough to quickly unplug, toss into a bag, and carry home from the studio or take on travel, etc.

This “bumper case” is a quick one-piece design meant to protect the corners and edges of the mini from dings and dents while being used in this scenario. Molded-in feet also raise the min slightly off the desk for additional airflow and dust tolerance.

Print recommendations:

This model prints in one piece, oriented with the top of the case on the print bed. The provided print profile specifies reasonable wall, infill, and tree support settings to achieve a successful print.

Recommended filament is a 95 or 95A TPU. I do not recommend “TPU for AMS” or PETG as these are likely not compliant enough to either allow insertion of the Mac mini or to adequately absorb any impact to protect it. Within reason, less infill and walls may actually be better at absorbing energy than a more-solid slice. I will update the profile after some additional testing.
