Description

Not into Christmas trees or traditional Christmas wreaths? Maybe this snowflake wreath is more to your liking!

This is my own model of the building brick number 2423 “plant leaves 4x3”, the decorational studs made for this wreath branch are compatible with other available wreath branches like the one from MagnumDanger_44252. The decorational studs available online for those wreath branches should also fit this model.

Giant Building Brick Holiday Wreath

I will be making and uploading more studs for these wreaths as we move from holiday to holiday :) There will be more uploads for Christmas, check my profile if you want to see everything already made and follow if you can't wait for more new studs!

Christmas themed studs:

Generic studs:

The snowflake wreath available in the print profile has the following advantages and optimalizations:

  • The “branches” are easily secured to the centerpiece with the same pins as the decorational studs
  • The studs can be locked in place with a locking pin
    • All locks in this model use ‘Pin-Short’
  • All decorational studs i made, and all future studs, are compatible with the snowflake wreath
  • Supports for the centerpiece are manually added and tweaked for the best result

Keep in mind when preparing for printing:

  • The centerpiece has painted / manual supports, the rest does not need supports;
  • Check your color order when printing multicolor decorational studs, always go from light to dark (e.g. white first, than black) to minimize colors bleeding and "whisps";
  • The locking pins will only work on these branches, not on other branches available online. The studs can be fitted without the locking pins though, the locking pins are optional and just to keep them extra secure!

Included files are:

  • The “branches" of the snowflake
    • You'll need four of those
  • The snowflake centerpiece
    • The “branches” have a tight fit, if you want to make sure it stays together use four locking pins to fix the “branches” to the centerpiece
  • A hanger, so you can easily hang it where you want it
  • Pins to lock the “branches” to the centerpiece and to lock decorational studs in place (great when moving things around a lot or it's windy where it's hanging).

Boost Me (for free)

The fact that you're looking at a model i made is already a huge compliment! If you could spare a boost that would really make my day!

The idea was brought to me by @SaraBeth, thanks for that! All my models are made from scratch using Fusion 360.
