VERSION 3 PROFILE UPDATES:
Version 1 and 2 of the Z-Shield were met with a ridiculous amount of love; Thank you to everyone who downloaded or printed the previous models! I never expected Version 2 to receive as many downloads as it did, so thank you all for your comments, likes, shares, and design feedback!
Version 3 will be the FINAL VERSION of the Z-Shield, as there are plenty of dupes and remixes out there, as well as the two previous versions. I've included all STEP Files for anyone who'd like to make their own custom designs :)
I appreciate your patience with the release of Version 3! I've been busy with life and fell behind on releasing this model, but there has been a good amount of interest so I tried to go above and beyond with the design!

Introducing the Z-Shield Version 3; a superior Z-Axis Cover for Bambu Lab P Series and X Series Printers. I’ve seen countless Z-Axis Covers for the P and X Series that simply sit in the recessed hole for the Z-Axis rod. I was never a fan of these designs, as I don’t want any component of my printer unnecessarily rubbing against plastic every time the bed moves.
These can be printed in PLA if chamber temps are kept on the low side, but printing in PETG, ABS, ASA, or engineering-grade materials would yield better results.
Key Features:
Printing:
Cleaning your bed properly is important when printing the patterned covers. Make sure your bed has been thoroughly cleaned before printing!
Color # 1 is the Main Color
Color #2 is the Top Face Color
Installation:
NOTE: INSTALL THE CLIP TOWARDS THE REAR OF THE PRINTER FIRST
Make sure ALL support material is removed before installing.
You should hear an audible click as the Z-Shield seats into position.
There should be approximately 2.9mm of clearance between your build plate and the Z-Shield on the left side of the printer. Make sure it is fully seated towards the left side of the printer. The right side cover will have plenty of clearance but should be installed in the same way.
