Description

This is the best wankel engine of the whole internet !!

You will not find a better one, guaranteed !!

From the old model, i made it bigger and better (added bearings, strengthened the engine block, the engine cover and the shaft, the spinning triangle is now better fitted and the engine is now more air-tight in general).

It has some torque, and it gets scary fast at 50psi (haven't tried more myself, i'm afraid it will explode on me).

It also has a decent rotary sound, for those who like that (like me).

After printing, you may need to slighly trim the edges of the triangle so it will fit much better.

Also, to improve efficiency, this engine is 95% air-tight, which is incredible (this means it is very efficient to transform compressed air into power).

If you like my model, don't forget to leave a like a consider a boost !

Materials required :

  • 4x or 6x m3x10 screws
  • [Optional] 4x or 6x m3 washers (you don't have to put washers but i recommend it)
  • 2x [8x16x5]mm bearings (8mm ID, 16mm OD, 5mm W)
  • [Optional] 5x m6 bolt for weight on flywheel, but it runs very good without it too

for me when I tryed it didn't run I added all the parts I need and when I tried running it, it didn't run. I did not glue the bearings to the 3d print I just put them on and air is mainly leaking their anyway to fix it?

can you freely spin the shaft by hand ? and have you added the flywheel when you tried to run it with air ?

Hi ! There is no print profile for the A1 mini yet, sorry for the inconvenience. You can always download all the stl files and slice it yourself 😊

hello my friend, I am deeply sorry for the delay. Sadly I do not own an A1 mini so I can not make a print profile for you 😕

this looks like it would work like a Lobe pump. I’m wondering if I could add the right motor to it so that it can pump liquid.

Great print! I've printed it twice, once in PLA and once in ABS. Both went great, but I will say a big weakness is in the shaft. It breaks where the shaft is squared for the flywheel every time. maybe a solution could be to beef up the shaft in some way or make the flywheel closer to the housing.

first off thank you for the boost and the great comment ! I didn't had issues with that but clearly the shaft is too weak, I will take a look at it in the followings days to figure out a solution
