Amtgard Monarchy Livery Chains of Office

I designed these late-medieval-style livery chains or chains of office (like the one famously worn by Sir Thomas More in this painting) in Onshape Free and Cura (for STL-ifying some drawings for the symbols for Regent and PM, as well as KCG and EPC).

Print 20+ total of the regular links, two of the hanger links, a hanger, and a medallion for each officer, paint them silver (or gold!), and link them together with coiled links of craft wire. I like silver-plated 16 ga copper craft wire for my silver-painted chains. Remember to wind a slightly larger diameter ring for the outside edge of each link, so it will hang nicely around your neck and shoulders! (I used a laser pointer and a craft knife handle for my two ring diameters lmao.)

I also like to string a little bit of embroidery floss between the sixth or seventh link up each side, so that the string rests across the back of your neck/shoulders, letting the chain drape a bit further down your back. See the second photo for an example.

I have included medallions for Monarch, PM, Regent, Champion and Guild Master of Reeves. These are the five basic officers of the monarchy in Amtgard. I thought it would be neat to have an alternative to crowns, which are typically only used to symbolize the monarch, for the current monarchy of a park to wear at court, coronations, etc. so I designed and printed a set of these for my current park, Eastern Pine Camp.

So, I've also included are also hanger links embossed with the heraldry of the Kingdom of Crystal Groves and regular links with that and with the park heraldry for EPC. If you'd like a custom link for a particular park or kingdom feel free to either modify the files yourself or contact me :-) Easy mode is to use Cura's PNG-to-STL import and just stack your logo onto a blank link or medallion right in the slicer.
