Description

What do you make of this?

This design is equilaterally different to the Fidgity Python, and I love it.

Please post pictures of your prints - especially if you print it using multiple colours.

IMPORTANT: This design has some pretty tight joints when it is taken off the print bed. When freeing up the joints for the first time, I'd recommend taking your time putting a bit of pressure on each joint. They will all give a little ‘crack’ when they are free to move. They will all free up, but it will take a little effort. It's worth it!

Printed again in cookiecad witchcraft PLA and had a much easier time separating the pieces for some reason! there were still a few I had to shimmy loose with a knife, particularly at the ends. this one is a gift for a family member. I'm sure it won't be the last one I print either. thanks :)

Oh, that is lovely and sparkly in that filament! The end segments are hard as it is hard to grip, but I find that using the edge of a desk helps. Once you hear the "crack" then the job is done.

Mine came out a brick, couldn’t get it apart…

this is a lot of fun! I took my time cracking the joints and didn’t break anything. would love to see an EXTRA long one that takes up the build plate.

Printed really well and was not all too hard to get the pieces unstuck. Didn’t use the profile though, used stock settings on the printer instead.

Strength Issue: it broke off when I was following the instruction

@Za4one Thanks for the feedback and the great photos. Sorry that it broke off for you. I can see from the photos that your 'seams' are very exaggerated and this probably led to the issue. I have just made some adjustments to the profile to mitigate this. If you want, please try this design again and let me know if things are better.

@leeleelee That makes me SO happy, as I only just modelled that this morning and have been playing with them all day.
